Christina Boutsouki holds a BSc in Mathematics, an MSc in Operational Research, and a PhD in Marketing. She is currently a Professor of Marketing, and the Director of Studies in the MSc in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Her research interests lie in the areas of Consumer Behaviour, Advertising, Neuromarketing and Social Media Marketing. Recent projects focus on the effectiveness of humorous advertising, the use and effectiveness of minimal advertising, consumer engagement in social media, the use of emotions in political communication, the effects of music on pricing perceptions – a neuromarketing approach.
She has published her work in the International Journal of Advertising, International Marketing Review, International Journal of Retail & Distribution Management, Humor: International Journal of Humor Research, Journal of Current Issues and Research in Advertising, Communication & Research Reports, Journal of Global, Fashion Marketing and the International Journal of Internet Marketing and Advertising, Journal of Tourism, Heritage and Services Marketing, Journal of Global Fashion Marketing, Food Research International, Journal of Promotion Management, and Journal of Consumer Behavior among others. She has also participated in multiple occasions in national and International Conferences such as ICCMI, ICORIA, EMAC.
